LG Q6, Q6+ and Q6α launched with 5.5″ full vision display, Snapdragon 435 chip and 3000mAh battery

It’s 11 July and true to their word, LG has unveiled the new smartphone that they were teasing since few days. Well, the device is a toned down version of its flagship device, LG G6 and is known as LG Q6.

Yup, LG Q6. LG Q series is a new series by LG that offers premium features at attractive pricing. Further, LG Q series is the first series after LG G6 to sport FullVision display.

And the reason why we are saying Q series is because LG has not launched one phone but three smartphones under the Q series. The three smartphones differ in terms of memory and storage.

The affordable model Q6α comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of ROM, the base model Q6 features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the top end model LG Q6+ flaunts 4GB RAM and 64GB memory. All the three models use Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset.

Packaged in a stylish metallic frame, LG Q6 features 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision minimized bezel-less display. This is coupled with 18:9 aspect ratio that makes multimedia content more immersive.

In the camera segment, LG Q6 won’t feature dual rear camera as was present on the LG G6, instead, LG Q6 features single rear camera of 13MP. On the front side, you will get 5MP wide angle camera.

LG Q6 features a new Square Camera Mode that makes it easy to share square pictures on social media sites and it also allows you to create photo collages using multiple square images.

LG Q6 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat while 3,000mAh non-removable battery provides the juice. The three variants are available in following colors:

  • Q6+: Astro Black / Ice Platinum / Marine Blue
  • Q6: Astro Black / Ice Platinum / Mystic White / Terra Gold
  • Q6α: Astro Black / Ice Platinum / Terra Gold

LG Q6 also features Face Recognition technology that LG claims works much better than what is available on other devices. Other features include Google Assistant, steady record and FM Radio. Sadly, there is no fingerprint sensor in the device.
