LG G6 to feature Google Assistant as its Voice Recognition AI software

With Samsung looking to add Bixby as its AI software on Galaxy S8, Apple all comfy with Siri, it was about time LG chose its own AI software.

We had earlier heard rumors about LG weighing down on its options as regards AI software between Amazon’s Alexa — that will soon power the Huawei Mate 9 in US — and Google Assistant — powers Pixel and Pixel XL — and it looks like, LG has its heart set on Google Assistant now.

According to yonhapnews, an industry official revealed: “While you are promoting a voice secretary, the LG assistant will be the same as the Google assistant.

Given the above, we think Google could soon make Assistant work in Korean, as it would be a shame if LG G6 couldn’t benefit local users with its AI.

LG Electronics and Google has not confirmed this, we think we would know it all pretty soon as MWC gets closer day by day, where LG G6 is expected to be announced along with Galaxy S8, HTC 11 and new Sony flagships.
