LG G Flex 2 announced, finally!

LG G Flex 2

At last, but not before even the official press release was leaked, LG has made its G Flex 2 official. Obviously, there’s nothing we didn’t know, let alone the specs, and that pink color of the device. But actually, there is lots of new: the smaller but still relatively big 5.5″ Full HD P-OLED display — even though the res is 1080p, it’s quite improved compared to the 720p one in G FLex of 2014 — and that behemoth of a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor are two big plus for G Flex 2.

The LG G Flex 2 isn’t about the specs anyway — look at G4 is you want only that — it’s about the new design. The curved one. A flexible phone, for those who want a unique piece in their pocket that’s quite capable too.

LG G Flex 2 will be the first original device to launch with Snapdragon 810. Original, because Samsung has already launched a new variant of Note 4 with same processor. There is also 2GB DDR4 RAM, which to be fair to LG, is quite adequate, 16GB and 32GB internal storage options, and a 13MP camera at the back, with OIS, dual LED flash and Laser Auto Focus (a la G3!) while 2.1MP cam in the front.

G Flex 2’s battery is of 3000 mAh capacity, with fast charge ability tat can charge the battery by 50% in 40 mins, and it weighs roughly 152 grams. It’s back is still smart, and can self-heal to bend again if straightened under force by will or accident. It’s got only faster in G FLex 2.

LG is launching G FLex 2 in two colors: grey and red, err, actually, Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red.

On the software side, Android 5.0 Lollipop would pre-installed on G Flex 2, which is minimum you would expect from LG for its kind-of flagship phone.
