A few weeks ago, Huawei launched a new gaming technology known as GPU Turbo and since then, the feature has been arriving on a good number of Huawei and Honor phones via a software update. Next in line is the Huawei Honor 9i, which is also known as Huawei Mate 10 Lite or Nova 2i in markets outside India.
The device is receiving an update that comes with software version EMUI 8.0.0.330 and not only does it install GPU Turbo technology, but also the call recording feature that has been a mainstay in recent Huawei updates.
The B330 update further includes a preloaded Party Mode APK to help Honor 9i users sync music playback across phones for improved sound effects. The changelog also includes a fix for a data APN issue as well as the latest Android security patches.

Since the update is rolling out over the air, it will take several days before every Honor 9i unit gets the download notification, so be patient. Otherwise, try forcing the download via the device’s Settings menu.
