Earlier this week, T-Mobile started rolling out a new software update to both Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ and among the highlights was the improvements to the security patch level, camera performance and a fix for the black screen issue.
What T-Mobile did not say about this update, which comes as software build ARG7, is that it also includes a fix for one of the most annoying issues in what is otherwise a great camera. One of the major highlights of the S9 and S9+ is the ability to record some of the best slow-motion videos, including up to 960fps. Of course, not everyone wants to record a super slow-mo video mainly because of the quality (HD) and thus, Samsung included other slow-mo recording modes as well, among them the normal 240fps slow-motion recording that manages 1080p quality videos.

After the ARF7 update that brought June 2018 security patches, some users started complaining that the 240fps slow-mo mode wasn’t working properly. Apparently, the mode was marred with lagging and stuttering all throughout the recording, something that proved to be annoying for the affected.

Well, if you have been experiencing issues with the 240fps slow-mo camera mode on your Galaxy S9 or S9+, the latest T-Mobile update should work magic. If you haven’t seen the download notification yet, it’s almost there, especially since it’s already several days since it started rolling out. Alternatively, you can also try a manual update by visiting the Software update section of your Settings menu.
