Verizon has begun rolling out the July patch for all of its Google Pixel handsets, that include the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, and the Pixel 2 XL.
There is nothing else part of the short changelog here, but here is the build no. for each of the updates:
- Pixel and Pixel XL – OPM4.171019.021.P1
- Pixel 2 – OPM2.171026.006.G1
- Pixel 2 XL – OPM2.171026.006.H1
The Pixel handsets are one of the best phones at Verizon, and these quick updates are one solid reason why so. You don’t expect quicker updates like this on the Galaxy S9, Huawei P20, and LG G7 mobile phones of our world. And for what it’s worth, a few hours back, a newer version of the Android P, DP4, also became available for the unlocked Pixel handsets.
If you are on Verizon and use a Pixel, it’s time you hit the Settings app > System > System updates. Tap on ‘Check for update’ button. If the update is ready for you, it will begin seeding to your device.
