Huawei’s sub-brand Honor just announced that they are going to allow unlocking the bootloaders for the Honor View 10 and also open up their AI source code to developers.
The company has announced that they want to invite 1000 developers to join the Honor Open Source Program. They want the developers to use their AI APIs and create new apps for the ecosystem. Also, having root access will allow the devs to create custom ROMs for the device.
This program has been launched in the US, just a day after the company announced that the Huawei View 10 is coming to the country. The developer community at XDA will be happy about this, and it is a great move by the company.
According to a post on XDA by a Honor representative, the program would be launched by the end of this month. More details will be announced soon, and if you want to take part, you can head over to this page.
