A new Huawei device has made an appearance on Geekbench, bearing model number BAC-AL00. Just yesterday, we posted a news about another Huawei device with model number PIC-AL00, touted to be Huawei Nova 2, landing at the same benchmarking site. The connection between both the devices is unmistakable, leading us to believe that today’s guest at Geekbench is none other than Huawei Nova 2 Plus.
The most notable feature of the Huawei Nova 2 Plus, as seen in the latest Geekbench listing (screenshot above), is the HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor on board. This once again refutes past rumors which pointed towards the device being powered by Kirin 658 processor or Snapdragon 660 chipset. Although, we would have loved to see Nova 2 powered by any one of the latter two processors, still the Kirin 655 on board, which also powers Honor 6X, will perform a decent job.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Geekbench listing does not specifically mention Kirin 655 chipset but in the processor description part it does specify an octa-core chipset clocked at 1.71GHz, which is the same as that of Honor 6X. This leads us to conclude that Honor 6X SoC will be used by Huawei to power Nova 2.
The Nova 2 is said to feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display while Nova 2 Plus will come with a bigger screen. On the imaging department, there are two theories, one suggesting single rear camera of 13MP resolution with 5MP selfie snapper and another revealing dual rear cameras of 12MP+8MP and a 20MP front camera. A 3000mAh battery will keep the lights on. The phone will be shipped with 4GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat.
