Huawei Nova 2 leaks in black, and hits Geekbench too

Ahead of its launch on May 26th, Huawei’s upcoming smartphone, the Nova 2, has been leaked in Black color. At the same time, the phone has made an appearance on benchmarking site Geekbench.

The Geekbench has listed the Huawei Nova 2 phone bearing model number PIC-AL00. The listing further reveals that the phone will be shipped with Android 7.0 Nougat and carry an octa-core processor clocked at 1.71GHz paired with 4GB RAM. These specifications totally fall in line with GFXBench revelations where the device was spotted just yesterday except for the clockspeed which the latter reports to be 2.3 GHz.

The GFXBench also revealed that the SoC on board the Nova 2 will be HiSilicon Hi6250 processor and it will house 12MP front camera and 5MP rear camera with support for recording FHD videos. Now, there have been rumors which suggested Kirin 658 processor or Snapdragon 660 chipset for the upcoming Huawei Nova phone. Also, the GFXBench shows single rear camera whereas it is almost confirmed that Huawei Nova 2 will come with rear dual cameras.

In fact, the leaked Black colored image of the phone shows the dual cameras placed towards the top right end side of the phone with a centered fingerprint scanner. Even TENAA listings and images as well as official advertisements of the phone show two cameras at the back.

Huawei will release two versions of the phone, pretty similar to what it did with its predecessor Huawei Nova. So, we will get to see a standard Nova 2 with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and Nova 2 Plus with a bigger screen. As per TENAA, the dual cameras will be of 12MP+8MP resolution and upfront we will find a 20MP selfie snapper. A 3000mAh battery will keep the juices flowing.
