The Huawei Honor 6X, which was released in October last year, came with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on board. Huawei had originally stated that the update will be available by Q2 2017, but have now confirmed that it will happen in March.
That’s very good news, as Honor 6X users can now look forward to the Nougat update in March, instead of having to wait longer. In a statement to Android Police, Huawei confirmed the time frame for the update.
The new EMUI for Honor 6X will be arriving next month, and it’s been updated based on consumer feedback. In case you or your team is planning a full review any time soon, it might be worthwhile to wait!
The Nougat update for the Honor 6X would also include the new EMUI 5.0 skin, which is said to bring a lot of design changes and improvements to the interface. An exact date hasn’t been mentioned, but at least we know that the update is coming sooner than later.
