HTC EVO 3D Android 4.0 Update Rolling Out in Europe, Middle East and Africa

The HTC EVO 3D has started receiving the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, just in time for the promised June/July date given by HTC back when they announced which devices would be getting Android 4.0. The update is rolling out to customers over the air in Europe, Middle East and Africa aka the EMEA region.

The update – which brings along Sense 3.6 and the usual Android 4.0 improvements such as improved data management, face unlock, a new interface, improved multitasking, etc – is around 300 MB in size, and you can manually check if it is available for your device from the Settings » About » Software Updates menu.

Have you updated your EVO 3D already? If yes, then let us know your thoughts on it, in the comments below.

  1. got it installed this morning. The phone seems slower…had an issue with HTC Sense needed authorisation in Facebook, that took a while to sort out. Then the Sync worked again for the all my contacts and updated.
The Task manager seems to give better Free memory values than before, so I have more faith in it now.
Whatsapp contacts within does not show updated profile pics yet… 🙁
Was looking to have a setting for Wi-Fi where 1 can set on and off times..if anyone can help with that.
Also how does 1 set the timeout that when the phone is upright, meaning i’m reading something…NOT to bleddyhell go to sleep, seen Samsung S3 boasting about that.
Will be able to comment about battery life next week.

  2. had updated the ICS on my HTC Evo 3d but having issue on haptic feedback option. i’m not able to turn off vibration (haptic feedback) on my device..in every touch my phone vibrate …how to stop this ?
