How to Fix Super Mario Force Close error ‘Support Code 804-5100’

After a 3 month wait Super Mario Run finally made to the Google Play Store, but the debut run of Super Mario has already met its fair share of obstacles.

Users are reporting that the app force closes after splashing the Nintendo logo and gives the following error message: “error has occurred (support code 804-5100)”.

We’re still unsure if the issue is exclusive for rooted devices but in case you do run into the above issue, there are a couple fixes available on the support forum for the game to combat the error.

The simple fix for the issue is clearing the App data and cache from the App info page for the game. However, if the issue persists even after clearing the app data, then below is a more technical fix to get rid of the error message.

  1. Download/install a file manager app from the Play store and open it.
  2. Go to the following directory on your device’s internal storage — /data/data/com.nintendo.zara
  3. You see the deviceAccount:.xml file inside the folder, delete this file.
  4. Open the Super Mario Run game again and sync it with your Nintendo account.

Removing the file fixes the force close issues although you may need to need to download your in game files all over again.
