While the western world has enjoyed the blazing speed of 4G LTE connectivity for years, it wasn’t until recently that the technology was introduced in a widespread manner in India. At the very front of this “4G revolution” has been Reliance Jio, which continues to be one of the top disruptors in the network carrier market. Despite offering 4G LTE unlimited plans with impressive data transfer speeds, there is one major issue that plagues almost all Jio users in general.
There have been numerous reports of network fluctuation on the Jio network for years now, and it seems like there is, in fact, something that you can do about it. Apparently, an app called Network Signal Guru can help you make sure that the different bands on which Jio works are not clashing with each other, by allowing you to set up a primary one.

Step 1: Root your Android device

Step 2: Use Network Signal Guru
- Download Network Signal Guru from the Google Play Store for free.
- Open the app and grant it the required system permissions.
- The app will then ask for root access
- Once you’re in the app, press the three-dot menu button on the top-right corner.
- Tap on “Lock RAT” and select “LTE” from the available options.
- Tap on the three-dot menu button again and select “Lock Bands” and “LTE” after it.
- On the main screen, deselect all of the bands and enable only “B3” and “B5” and hit “OK”.
Once you’ve made these changes, you can exit the app but make sure to not close it from running in the background. You’ll notice the network connection resets right after you make the changes and the device will search for the Jio network once again.
