How to create a comic strip from videos on Android

Storyboard-Google-app

Earlier today, Google released a bunch of new photography related apps as part of their appsperiments program. The company wants users to have new mobile photography experiences using these apps.

One of these new apps is called Storyboard, and it allows users to create a comic strip from videos on Android devices. The magic happens right within the app, and it’s fast. You can shoot a video that you believe will look good as a comic strip, and load it on the app.

We’re going to tell you how easy it is to create a comic strip from videos using this app. But before you start, download the Storyboard app from the Play Store.

Now, launch the app on your Android smartphone, and load up a video. This can be anything you want, but it’s usually better if it’s a short video. This is because the comic strip only has a maximum of 7-8 frames, and you can’t tell a long story with so many frames.

Once you’ve loaded up a video, the app will do some processing and create the comic strip for you. Now that’s not the end.

The app includes 6 different visual styles for the comic strips, as you can see in the images above. You can also change/refresh the layout of the comic strip by pulling down on it. There are an unlimited amount of layouts, and you can select the one you like.

After you’ve selected what you like, you can tap on the comic and save it on your device or share it on social media. There you go, your very own comic strip from your own videos.

Let us know what you think of Storyboard for Android app. Is this fun, or is it something you’ll get bored of after a while?
