After launching the Honor 8X in China last month, Huawei’s sub-brand this week has announced a global release for the phone.
The handset will go on sale today in a handful of European countries including France starting at €250 (approx Rs. 21,145 / $288), but will become available in more markets soon.
The Honor 8X is a budget device that looks a lot more premium than its price might suggest. The handset has a metal frame and an ultra-reflective, color-changing glass back that’s reminiscent of the Honor 10. It also features a notch on top of its large 6.5-inch display that boasts 1080 x 2340 resolution.

The phone also looks to be able to push a reasonable amount of power, including an octa-core Kirin 710 processor and either 4GB of RAM or 6GB of RAM on board. Honor also throws in 64GB or 128GB of storage and a fingerprint scanner located on the back of the device.
On the camera front, the Honor 8X features a 20MP+2MP main camera setup backed by AI-based features. On the front, Honor has included a 16MP selfie sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
Other specs include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a generous 3,750 mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Presumably, Honor will update the phone will receive the Android 9 Pie update at some point in the future.

While the Honor 8X will soon go on sale in Europe, it’s also coming to the US soon.
