Google’s Tasks app is now available in the Play Store

Google Tasks

Google is growing its portfolio of apps with the addition of a standalone Tasks app, which can now be downloaded directly from the Play Store on any device running Android 4.1 and above. This is part of the company’s continued push into the business world, where it already boasts a number of office productivity apps.

It has been all messy, where a myriad of Google apps, among them Assistant, Keep and Calendar, have been able to show you various tasks, but having all of these tasks in one place has been a problem. With the standalone Google Tasks app, the search giant aims to solve this problem by further allowing users to create sub-tasks and even associate them with certain emails (depending on the number of emails signed into via the Gmail app) as well as assign due dates for each task for easy tracking.

For now, it’s still unclear if and when Google will bring in support for more features, but we are likely to see new additions and improvements to the app in the near future.
