Google updates Gboard keyboard app with Handwriting support, Fast Delete and URL field suggestions

Google has released a new update for the Gboard keyboard app. If you’ve been using the Gboard app on your phone, and are super accustomed to it, then you’re going to like the new features.

The update includes a bunch of new features that will make Gboard better for users. The keyboard will now support Handwriting input, which means you can simply write on your screen and it will convert that to text.

Apart from that, you will now see suggestions in the URL fields, there’s a new fast-delete option, and support for 19 more Indian languages. Looks like Google really loves India.

The new supported languages include; Awadhi, Bambara, Bundeli, Emilian-Romagnol, Fulani, Gilaki, Hiligaynon, Jamaican Patois, Kumaoni, Lambadi, Lombard, Madurese, Minangkabau, Mazanderani, Nahuatl, Neapolitan, Norwegian (Nynorsk), Piedmontese, Sadri, Santali (Devanagari and Bengali), Sicilian, Sylheti, Venetian, and Zazaki.

The new update should be live now, so go ahead and install it. In case you want to give the Gboard keyboard from Google a try, then you can download it from the Play Store for free. It is a great keyboard that includes a ton of features.
