Google Pixel’s October update is causing system UI problems for some users

Google Pixel 2

It’s been over a month since the official Android 10 rollout, and we pretty much know all there is to know about Google’s latest OS, including its coolest features like Live Caption, Bubbles, Dark Theme, and more. As always, Google’s Pixel lineup got the highly-anticipated update ahead of other devices and seemed to work like a charm.

Sadly, after an unexpected turn of events, Google has somehow managed to undo September’s flawless update with a slightly buggy October release. Some Pixel users have been reporting random issues, making their devices practically unusable.

From random reboots to malfunctioning System UI, the October update has turned out to be a nightmare for many Pixel users. If you, too, are facing something similar, we might have a couple of solutions you could try out.

Solutions

Fix for System UI crashes

As for System UI issues (also reboots), either you’ll have to wait for the next system update or could perform a complete system reset. As it will delete all your data, make sure to keep a backup before you proceed.

Fix for Random restarts

One of the most popular ad-blocking apps, AdGuard, seems to be behind random reboots. So, if you have that installed, try uninstalling the app and running your device for a while.
