Google Pixel 2 case leak hints at rear-mounted fingerprint scanner

The successors of last year’s Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel XL 2 respectively are expected to release in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Now that the release is coming closer, the leaks about these devices are increasing. A new image has popped on the internet, which reveals that Google Pixel 2 will sport a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor similar to current gen Pixel devices.

Looks like Google is not interested in the front fingerprint sensor or under the display fingerprint sensor at the moment.

Further, previous leaks have suggested Google Pixel devices might feature Always-on-display, which is present on some Samsung and Motorola devices.

Apparently, Google will release only two variants of Google Pixel and not three as was rumored earlier. The two devices are 5-inch Pixel 2 codenamed Walleye and a massive 6-inch device codenamed Taimen.
