Gmail 2.3.5 brings Label-wise Custom Sync, Notifications and Ringtones

Gmail android app is one of the reason to buy an android phone if email forms big bunch of your daily work. And the already very handy app just got even better — users can now choose to sync specific labels for sync, thus saving on data usages and — more importantly — battery while easily sticking to what’s important. That apart, one can even select ringtones labels-wise, further adding to the vast options already available, which is just great. Really, Google apps are android one of the biggest advantage that gets overlooked more often.

Well, there are other cool features added too, so let’s check out what app’s “What’s New” page at android market says:

  1. Save bandwidth and battery by only syncing priority mail
  2. Use label notifications to mash up filters, labels, and ringtones
  3. Remember ‘Show Pictures’ for senders
  4. Turn off sticky message actions in landscape or all orientations
  5. Better TalkBalk support for accessibility
  6. Performance improvements

Quite good, isn’t it?
