Galaxy S9 pre-orders to open on February 28

Samsung Galaxy S9 Titanium Gray

A while back, it was reported that Samsung Galaxy S9 pre-orders in South Korea will begin on March 2, but according to fresh reports surfacing from the Asian country, it appears Samsung and the three major telcos in the country have other ideas.

On March 1, Koreans will be celebrating Independence Movement Day and according to ETNews, the three major telcos have decided that the Galaxy S9 will be available for booking beginning February 28, which is next week Wednesday. Apparently, this exercise will be open until March 8th, just like it had been pointed out in the previous report.

As far as availability is concerned, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be released in South Korea on March 9. In a period dating from March 9 to March 15, users of the three major telcos will be allowed to make reservations for the phone, but beginning March 16 onwards, anyone will be able to purchase the phone through offline retailers without making any reservations.

There’s no mention of prices, but we had learned before that the Galaxy S9 may be priced at about 1 million Korean Won. Of course, we should get finer details, including pricing and availability in other markets, sooner than later.
