Galaxy Note Edge (India) and Galaxy Tab A 10.1 also gets January security patch

Samsung has been slowly but steadily rolling out the January security update to its handsets one by one over the past few weeks directly and through its carrier partners. The latest roll out is to Galaxy Note Edge devices in India particularly, as well as to Galaxy Tab A 10.1.

The January security update is hitting the Galaxy Note Edge (India) as software version N915GXXS1DQA4 and installs the latest Android security patch. On the other hand, for Galaxy Tab A 10.1, the update arrives as build number T585XXU2AQA2 bringing with, as usual, the Android security update.

Notably, the Galaxy Note Edge, which was launched in 2014 with v4.4.4 KitKat OS currently runs on Marshmallow while the 2016 released Galaxy Tab A 10.1 was launched with v6.0 Marshmallow.
