Galaxy Note 8 to release early in August, before IFA 2017

Galaxy Note 8

Samsung, for the most part, launched its Galaxy Note line handsets during the IFA event. Of late, however, in order to get a head start against the Apple iPhone, Samsung started launching its new Galaxy Note device a bit earlier at a separate event.

And, according to the latest report, the Galaxy Note 8 will have the same fate. Samsung will supposedly hold an Unpacked event in August to launch the smartphone prior to the commencement of IFA 2017.

This allows the company to ship the latest Galaxy Note 8 even before the much-hyped iPhone 8 is unveiled.

Owing to the devastating problems caused by last year’s Galaxy Note 7, the company had to push the launch date of the Galaxy S8 a little further than the actual schedule. The South Korean giant, however, seems to be in no mood to delay the launch of Note 8 (if anything, it’s accelerating it!).

According to a recent leak, Samsung hasn’t found a way to integrate the fingerprint scanner into the display. And corroborating this, a new leak surfaced online yesterday suggesting that the Galaxy Note 8 will have a rear mounted circular fingerprint scanner below the dual camera setup.

The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 256GB of onboard storage, and a 3,600mAh battery.
