Was Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus Nougat update accidentally released by Samsung?

It seems, Samsung may have accidentally released the Android Nougat update for the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus for some beta members. Some users have reportedly received the update, as you can see from the screenshot above. The update was originally released last week.

We already know that Samsung has been working on the Nougat update for both the S6 series and the Note 5. These devices are next in line after the S7 series. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have already received the Nougat update in most regions.

It could be possible that this update is the final beta version meant for final tests. Samsung may probably start releasing the public version to users across the globe very soon. The build number for Note 5 Nougat update is G920CXXU3CQB2, and for Galaxy S6 Edge Plus it’s G928FXXU3CQB2. The update weighs around 1.4GB in size and is only available for some users.

Over at XDA, some users are saying that this could be a fake. However, the info comes from a reputable Samsung news site. Whatever the case, Note 5 and Galaxy S6 series users will get the Nougat update soon.
