Galaxy J7 2017 Android 8.1 Oreo update is now available in more countries in Europe, starting with Spain

Samsung has now started rolling out the Android 8.1 Oreo update in Europe for the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 model no. SM-J730F, starting with Spain. The software version of the update is J730FXXU3BRI3. Given that the Oreo update was recently spotted on the SM-J730F recently, this is not surprising.

Samsung has been rolling out updates for several of its devices in the past few weeks. The Samsung Galaxy J7 with model number SM-J730FM had received the Android 8.1 Oreo update about two weeks ago.

If you’ve not received an automatic update notification, head over to Settings > Software Update > Download updates manually. You should see update pop-up, in case you don’t, there’s no reason to worry. Updates usually come in batches and you’d receive the update within a day or two.

The update should roll out to other regions as well within a couple of weeks. This is an OTA based update so you’d save yourself the hassle of updating the device through a PC. It does take a while to roll out the update to different regions as the updates are first certified and tested separately in each region.
