Galaxy J7 (2016) gets March security update with build J710MNUBU2AQC1

Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update to Galaxy J7 (2016) units. The update installs the March security patch and is being rolled out as we speak.

Arriving as build number J710MNUBU2AQC1, the new firmware update also tags along regular bug fixes and system enhancements, other than the monthly security patch update. Although a regular update, it is a recommended one as it optimizes the performance of your device.

The update being rolled out over the air, may take a while to hit your Galaxy J7 (2016) handset. If waiting is not your thing, you can check for it right away manually by heading to Settings > About device > System updates. Before hitting the download button, ensure that your device is at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network.

Launched last year in April, the Galaxy J7 (2016) mid-ranger comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS on board. As for the Nougat update for the device, we suppose it should arrive some time this month itself.

Meanwhile, another J series handset, the Galaxy J3 2016 in Europe has started receiving April security patch update which arrives as build number J320FXXU0AQC3.
