Be it the flagship segment or the budget section, Samsung seems intent to apply its monopoly over both. While we have our eyes turned towards New York and London to witness the debut of Samsung’s 2017 flagship smartphone the Galaxy S8, Samsung may quietly make the China exclusive mid-range phone Galaxy Folder 2 available globally.
The Android flip phone from Samsung, which was launched in China in September last year and remained confined within its geographical territory, has received certification from WiFi Alliance today giving us reasons to conclude that it may soon be released globally.

The WiFi listing shows the Galaxy Folder 2 phone carrying the model number SM-G160N. It further reveals the OS on board to be Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Designed for those who want a touchscreen flip phone which can easily fit in a pocket, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 comes with a small 3.8 inch WVGA display. It is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 425 chip clocked at 1.4GHz. The RAM is of 2GB coupled with 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Coming to the cameras, it boasts of a decent 8MP rear snapper with LED flash and 5MP selfie shooter. The battery on board is 1,950mAh battery which Samsung claims to perform 318 hours of standby.
