Galaxy C7 Pro to release soon as it clears WiFi Alliance

After crossing the TENAA border, the Galaxy C7 Pro has now received the thumbs-up at WiFi Alliance too. While this listing doesn’t reveal anything great about the device, it does implies that Samsung is getting ready for the Galaxy C7 Pro’s sale, which might come outside China as Galaxy C7.

The Galaxy C7 Pro was expected to release in December earlier, but latest rumors point to January 2017 release, right before the Chinese New Year holidays began — so, that would be second half of Jan ’17, when the device hits the retails stores in China, with Europe and India launch following in February.

We’ve already had our talk about the Galaxy C7 specs thanks to earlier leak, which revealed that the device would sport an octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and storage options of 32 and 64GB. It’s said to be powered by a 3300mAh battery and would boast 5.7″ Full HD AMOLED display.

The Galaxy C7 Pro is said to be 7.0mm thick only, and would boast an all-metal body, which will make it a bit heavy at 170grams.

It would house 16MP camera at back and front, and would come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-installed, but should see an update to Android 7.1.1 Nougat later on, maybe in February 2017.

Samsung is right now busy preparing the Android 7.1.1 update for its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, both of which have received the Android 7.0 update as beta at the moment.

Samsung is looking to bring the Galaxy C9 Pro outside China too, where it will be known as Galaxy C9, and will had the model no. C900F (that would be C900DS for dual-SIM variant).
