As expected, Samsung has scheduled the release of Galaxy A5 2017 in Canada this month itself. On March 17th, the A5 2017 device will land in Canada where it will be up for grabs at a price of $499.99 CAD.
The mid-range smartphone from Samsung will be available for purchase in Canada via most of the carriers in the country including Bell, Rogers, and Virgin Mobile. The Canada release was imminent with the phone clearing the FCC certification last month.
The 2017 variant of Galaxy A5 is the third in the A5 series. The original Galaxy A5 was released in 2015 with a full metal body and 5-inch HD AMOLED display. One year later, Samsung upgraded it with the launch of A5 2016 sporting a bigger and better display of 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED screen.
The premium model in this series, A5 2017 sports 5.2 inches Super AMOLED display with corning gorilla glass protection on top. Under the hood, it carries octa-core Exynos 7880 clocked at 1.9 GHz paired with Mali-T830MP3 GPU. A 3000 mAh fast-charging battery keeps the lights on.

On the camera front as well we find premium specs with 16 MP/16MP camera combo with LED flash and auto-focus. The phone comes with a front fingerprint scanner and IP68 water and dust proofing. It is being shipped with Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The phone is expected to rock the Android Nougat OS pretty soon.
Samsung has made the Galaxy A5 2017 also available for purchase in India,  the UK, Malaysia, Portugal, Philippines.
