Galaxy A5 2017 Nougat update to release at Optus Australia by September end, includes Wi-Fi calling

Samsung started seeding the Nougat update for Galaxy A5 2017 last month. The update was being rolled out in stages, with a few places like Russia receiving the update first.

However, the Nougat update for Galaxy A5 2017 is yet to reach all the units across the globe and the sets at Optus Australia are one of them. Yes, it is worth noting that this is a carrier locked variant, which explains the delay due to carrier integration, etc. stuff that has to take place.

That said, now it looks like the Galaxy A5 2017 on Optus Australia will be receiving the update by the end of this month. The same has been confirmed through a listing on the carrier’s official website. Besides an upgrade to Android 7.0, the update would also brings Wi-Fi calling to the device, which is a great addition.

Talking about this new update, this Nougat OS will bring several new changes to the smartphone like a refreshed UI, new performance modes, improved notifications and Quick Settings menu, etc. So, if you are on the lookout for some new changes, then we suggest hopping onto it once it becomes available later this month.
