Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 Release Date, Specs and Images

Update (Dec 28, 2016): An official looking Galaxy A3 2017 image just got leaked. Check it out below:

The Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 which made an appearance on Geekbench back in September has hit the rumor mill again with leaked specifications from an Arab source.

The new specifications fall in line with the previously leaked specs from Geekbench, and with much more details. Going by the specs, the device is clearly headed to the budget line of devices with 2GB of RAM and 4.7-inch display. Check out the specs in full detail below:

Galaxy A3 2017 Specs

  • Display: 4.7 inches, HD 720p, 2.5D (curved), Gorilla Glass 4
  • Storage: 16GB (expandable)
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Camera: 8MP front, 16MP back with 1.9 aperture
  • Battery: 2550 mAh
  • Water resistant: Yes (IP68)
  • Fingerprint: Yes
  • USB: Type-C
  • SIM: Dual SIM and Single SIM
  • Charging: Fast charging (0% to 50% in 30 mins.)
  • Body: Aluminium frame with glass back (3D)

The Galaxy A3 2017 is featuring a smaller display of 4.7-inch in size with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. A completely similar setup to that of the 2016 edition of the device. However, this time around the company is tossing in a 2.5D (curved) display like the ones you saw on Sammy’s premium range of devices.

Other notable features from the leaked Galaxy A3 2017 specs are stuff like Waterproof body, Fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C and a Aluminium frame with a 3D glass back.

Unlike the leaked Galaxy A5 2017 specs and Galaxy C7 Pro specs though, the Galaxy A3 2017 doesn’t seem to feature a setup with similar Camera on both front and back sides of the device. On the A3 2017 you get a 8MP shooter on the front and a 16MP camera on the back.

Galaxy A3 2017 Release Date (expected)

Samsung generally releases the new Galaxy A series devices by year end. But since we’re already halfway through the year end, the Galaxy A3 2017 is likely to release in January 2017.
