Latest Fortnite 7.30 update brings support for external controllers, 60Hz on select phones, and more

Fortnite update version 7.30

Epic Games’ Fortnite grew its popularity massively when it got a mobile app for both Android and iOS, thus allowing cross-platform support where players can use various devices to battle.

However, like most mobile versions of popular PC and console games, smartphone users have been unable to enjoy all the goodies that come with the full-blown version. Until today, the most wanted feature for mobile gamers of Fortnite has been the support for wireless external controllers and indeed, your calls have finally been answered.

The latest update that installs Fortnite 7.30 brings the much-awaited support for external controllers that basically include all models with Bluetooth connectivity, probably including some of those you already have for your PS4 and Xbox One consoles and others like Moto Gamepad, Razer Raiju, and the Steelseries Stratus XL, etc.

Even better is that Fortnite 7.30 also tags along support for 60Hz for select Android devices, among them the Galaxy Note 9 (U.S. variant), Huawei Mate 20 X and Honor View 20. We want to believe this list will grow bigger in the near future.

The changelog has plenty of other stuff – including a new weapon called Chiller Grenade for knocking down opponents and causing them to slide down – that you can check out via this link. But remember to update to the latest Fortnite 7.30 in order to enjoy all these goodies.
