The latest flagship killer from OnePlus, the newly launched OnePlus 5T, is already getting a new software update. No, it’s not an update to Oreo, but rather a minor one bringing some improvements to the phone.

OnePlus is currently seeing OxygenOS 4.7.2 to the OnePlus 5T, which only went on sale earlier this week. The update includes a few improvements to certain software aspects of the phone, some bug fixes, and most importantly, a patch for the KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability.

In this update, you will find improvements to both the Fingerprint and Face unlock features. The Face Unlock was already super quick, but wasn’t very accurate. OnePlus has probably taken care of that in this update. It will also improve the EIS when recording 4K video on the device. And the accuracy for screen off gestures has also been improved.

The update is available as an OTA, weighs about 107MB in size, and can take anywhere from a day to a week to arrive. If you own the OnePlus 5T, we recommend that you install this update as soon as you get it.

According to OnePlus, the Android Oreo update for the OnePlus 5T will arrive in early January, with the beta available by end of year. The company recently released the Oreo update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T.
