Want to Find Which of your Contacts has Google Allo? Here’s a quick tip

Google’s new smart messaging app can help you get any information in the world, but not what you need the most to get started with the app. You can’t directly find which of your contacts has Allo installed on their phones, so you can message them and start using Allo.

When you start a new conversation on Allo, the app lists out almost all your contacts who can receive Allo messages (via Allo’s weird SMS support), but won’t list only the contacts who actually have Allo installed on their phones.

Thankfully though, the incognito chat option which can be initiated only between people who have both installed Google Allo on their phones, does the job. Just start an incognito chat on Allo and it’ll list out all contacts on your phone who have Allo installed.

  1. Open Allo app.
  2. Touch the messaging icon on bottom-right corner of screen.
  3. Select Start incognito chat.
  4. Allo will give a list of your contacts who have Allo installed on their phones.

Happy Androiding!
