Exynos 8895M and 8895V Specs leaked, compared with Snapdragon 835

New details have emerged regarding two new Samsung Exynos processors, namely, Exynos 8895M and Exynos 8895V. Both these processors are manufactured using the same 10nm chips that the Snapdragon 835 also uses.

The Exynos 8895M and 8895V are both using Mongoose M2 + A53 chipsets. The difference between the two is the Mongoose M2 core clock speed and the GPU versions. The 8895M has the Mongoose M2 chip clocked at 2.5GHz, while the 8895V has it at 2.3GHz only.

The GPU used in the 8895M is a G71 MP20 with 20 cores, while on the 8895V it’s the same G71 GPU with only 18 cores. This shouldn’t make a lot of difference though. Both the processors support LTE Cat.16, just like the SD 835. The new processors also support UFS 2.1 and 4K recording.

Samsung may end up using these new processors on the upcoming Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus. The company usually ships the US version of its flagship with a Snapdragon processor, while most other regions get the Exynos processor. And it looks like we know what Exynos processor would be used in the Galaxy S8.
