The DxO One is a camera module that attaches to your smartphone and allows you to take much better photos. The product is now available for pre-order for Android smartphones. It was previously only announced for Apple smartphones back in 2015.

It’s taken the company about two years to deliver the product with an USB Type-C port. That’s a long wait for all those who wanted to get their hands on this. And even now, you will only be able to put in money for an Early Access Pack. With this program, you can get the portable camera earlier than others.

The DxO One features a 20.2MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a lens size of 1 inch. The camera can shoot in RAW and can also record 4x slow-motion video. You also get an extra battery, Wi-Fi connectivity, and as part of the Early Access Program, a waterproof case worth $59.90 and access to the DxO PhotoLab app worth $199.

As of now, only a bunch of phones support the DxO One. If you’ve got an LG G6, V20, Moto Z, Nexus 5X, Samsung Galaxy A5, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8, Nokia 8, Huawei Mate 9, P10, Honor 9, Nubia Z11 Mini, or the HTC U11, then you can use this mod. Support for more devices should be available next year, along with more features and enhancements to the camera software.

If you’re interested, head over to the source link to book yours now for $499. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but if you’re a die hard mobile photography enthusiast, then you would love the DxO One. The company states that the device will be publicly available in the next few months.
