Update [October 14, 2017]: XDA member Pranav Pandey has successfully ported the Pixel 2 live wallpaper (Pixel Wallpapers 2017) apk to work on all Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above devices. While all new wallpapers are working flawlessly, the Marvellous marble and World comes to you are currently crashing, but these should be fixed soon. We tested the modified Pixel 2 live wallpaper apk on a variety of devices including Nexus 6P, Pixel, Galaxy S8, Vivo V7+ and Honor 8. It worked just perfect on all these devices. You can get the modified Pixel Wallpapers 2017 apk from the download link below and install it like you’d install any other apk file on your Android device.
Note: Before installing the modified apk, make sure you uninstall any other APK of Pixel live wallpapers or Pixel Wallpapers 2017 to avoid signature conflict.

Update [October 13, 2017]: Pixel 2 live wallpaper APK is now available for download and it brings about 27 new live wallpapers. You can grab the APK file from download link below, however you can install it only on devices running on Android 8.0 Oreo. Also, it’ll probably give you “Pixel wallpapers 2017 has stopped” error when you open any live wallpaper, so you won’t be able to set Pixel 2 live wallpapers yet on your device using the apk below. But knowledgeable folks over at xda and other Android communities should be able to fix these issues and provide a modified Pixel 2 live wallpapers apk very soon.

The Google Pixel 2 comes with a new live wallpaper that displays subtle movements of water on the shore of an ocean. The company displayed it during the launch event of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, and left us craving for it ever since.
The new Pixel 2 live wallpaper may not be available for download through the Google wallpapers app on Play Store, but once the system files of Pixel 2 are available, we’ll be sure to extract the Live Wallpapers apk from the system dump and provide it here for everyone to download. It’s great to see Google coming up with new live wallpapers again with the Pixel series of phones. Yesteryear’s Pixel phones launched with some great new live wallpapers from Google (after a long time). And everyone loved them. The Live Earth wallpaper from 2016 Pixel was just amazing.
Somewhere on the internet, the Pixel 2 system dump should be available for download very soon. And once it does, we’ll be sure to post the Pixel 2 live wallpaper APK on this page for everyone to get the new live wallpaper installed on their devices. Stay tuned..

I installed the APK and all it provided was the ones where the camera pans a bit around certain points. The one in the screenshot of the rolling waves on the beach is nowhere to be found. I understand the article talks about posting it once it’s available but that makes this entire post premature and misleading. The headline and screenshot make it seem as though it’s already available.
