Download Magisk for Project Treble ROMs

Rooting was always considered a hardware/software intensive activity until the glorious Magisk tool came along. While previously rooting Android devices not only voided the warranty, it also took away the ability to install OTA updates from manufacturers, but the “systemless” root method of Magisk changes all of this.

For those of you who are already walking on the edge with the Project Treble ROMs, getting your hands on the systemless rooting by Magisk is now within the realm of possibilities. By flashing the file given down below, you can now easily setup and start using Magisk and the Magisk Manager right now on your device running Project Treble ROM.

  1. Download the file from right above and save it on the internal storage of your device.
  2. Turn off the device.
  3. Reboot the device into recovery mode and access the TWRP custom recovery menu.
  4. Press the Install button and navigate to the downloaded Magisk file.
  5. Swipe to Install and wait while the process completes, after which you can reboot.

You should now have Magisk systemless root up and running on your Project Treble ROM powered Android device.
