Download Galaxy S8 Oreo firmware compatible with Odin, S8 Plus too (100% working, no issues with installation)

Samsung’s bafflingly delayed Android Oreo for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus finally began rolling out a few days ago, but today it should have gotten better when the update was rollout was extended to non-beta users too, and the Oreo firmware became available too.

Well, it turned out that the Android 8.0 Oreo firmware that became publicly available weren’t compatible with Odin anymore. Hence, if you download the Android 8.0 firmware for your Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, you won’t be able to install it using Odin. A big bummer, yes!

But thankfully, after some patching on the firmware, they can now be installed easily. We have obtained modified firmware for both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, and have made them available for download below.

Note: You would need to use Prince Comsy edition of the Odin 3.12 for this (also provided below).

Find the installation guide — and even more firmware — for these devices at their respective firmware pages: Galaxy S8 firmware | Galaxy S8 Plus firmware.

Here’s a hoping that the Android Oreo for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is near now. While, we have clear evidence that the Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 Active at AT&T, and for the Unlocked variant, is near, too.
