We earlier shared on Grand 2 CM13 ROM with you that, when installed, got you the Marshmallow update directly. Now, we’re back with more ROMs that like CM13 get you the coveted Android 6.0 update on your Grand 2 in an instant.
The ROMs shared are based on AOSP 6.0 code that is available to world from Google, and thus feature stock UI — a big win over Samsung’s colorful TouchWiz UI you see by default on Grand 2.
The Marshmallow stock UI is incredibly pleasant compared to TouchWiz, and may easily become one of the main reasons why you would want a custom ROM based on Marshmallow over Samsung’s KitKat or Lollipop firmware/ROM.
These are unofficial updates BTW, as Samsung won’t be releasing the Marshmallow update for Galaxy Grand 2 ever. That’s definite. So if you want the Android 6.0 update on your Grand 2, these custom ROMs are your only choice.

With the Grand 2 Marshmallow ROMs, you get great new features from the update, like better app permissions management, all new app info page for greater control over battery usage by an app, Doze mode (puts the device to complete sleep during night time, and also hibernates rarely used apps to free up memory and reduce battery usage by sch apps), Now On Tap, etc.
There’s lot to like about Marshmallow. The above new features are just the starting of the huge list, but it’s the super-good under the hood improvements in Android 6.0 update that makes it great.
Device performance is pretty good on Marshmallow update, and so is battery life. Which is why we would recommend you to install the custom ROMs given below, and for that, you will need to install TWRP recovery on your Grand 2. Read the instructions for installation linked at the bottom of post for more detailed steps of installation.
