Chainfire, the XDA developer which I admire the most, has come up with a very cool android app for Samsung’s Galaxy S devices, called the NoMoarPowah! It aims at replacing the battery charging animation of your Samsung phone — but the best part is, it manages to run even when the phone is Off, and it’s the first app to do so.
The animations replacing the dull battery charging anim are definitely cool but the NoMoarPowah android app’s utility doesn’t stop just there. It also has some awesome functions to let you power off the device for some specific duration after which the device with restart automatically. The custom reboot functionality is something that was there in the Symbian v60 devices and I missed it on Android. It comes very handy when you don’t wanna get troubled from your phone and prefer to switch Off while being able to set the phone for auto restart just before alarm time comes ticking.
To use this app, your phone needs to be rooted. And if you’re keeping up with us, then whether it’s Galaxy S2 i9100’s XXKG1 or Galaxy S i9000’s XXJVQ, we have always used Chainfire’s CF-Root method to root our device — and we’ve done it countless times! — so that root thing shouldn’t be an issue.
