BlackBerry KEYone goes out of stock in USA

While everyone considered the BlackBerry a dead wood, the Canadian smartphone manufacturer has resurrected itself quite well. The company is breaking all the records with its recently launched device, the BlackBerry KEYone.

After achieving a remarkable feat of becoming the most pre-ordered BlackBerry handset at Rogers, the KEYone has gone out of stock in the USA just a few hours after its official launch. The device was available for purchase through Amazon for $549.99. Triumphantly, both the variants i.e. GSM and CDMA are out of stock.

Although, it is apparent that the device is out of stock on Amazon, the same was verified by Steve Cistulli, President of TCL Communication North America, the company behind BlackBerry Mobile devices. In his series of tweets, he mentions, that the demand has been extremely high & they will soon restore the BlackBerry KEYone.

Pertinently, BlackBerry KEYone comes with a physical keyboard whose space bar doubles as a fingerprint scanner and the whole keyboard can be used as a touchpad. The other key features include a 4.5-inch HD screen paired with the Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB of RAM and a large 3505mAh battery.

The device also packs in an excellent 12MP camera with the Sony IMX378 sensor, the same sensor found on the Google Pixel. It also includes an 8 MP front-facing camera and runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box.
