Samsung Galaxy S7 users in Europe started receiving Android 8.0 Oreo update several weeks ago and later on, the wave moved to North America, where just about every major carrier has updated the 2016 handset to Oreo.
While we already knew those in Australia will join the Oreo party before the end of this month, the exact date was unknown to us. But this ends today as we can gladly report that the Galaxy S7 Oreo update is now live in this region.
This is an over the air update, meaning it will take time before all Galaxy S7 users in Australia get the download notification. You have the option to wait for the notification to arrive who knows when, but you can also try rushing things by heading to the Settings > About phone > System update and check for updates. If available, you’ll have to download and install manually by following the simple on-screen instructions provided.
