AT&T Samsung Galaxy Express 3 update brings KRACK fix with October 2017 security patch

samsung-galaxy express 3 update

AT&T has released a new software update for the budget Samsung Galaxy Express 3 smartphone that was released in April last year.

The new update brings the October Android security patch to the phone, along with bug fixes and other improvements. There’s also the fact that this update will patch the KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability. That makes this an important update for users to install.

The software version of this update is J120AUCS4AQJ2 and it only weighs about 23MB in size. If you’ve got the Galaxy Express 3, then you should receive this update via OTA very soon. In case you have already received the notification for this update, then we recommend you install it right away.

If you haven’t received the update, then you can check for it manually by opening the Settings app and navigating to System > About device > Software update. The Express 3 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and will not get any further software updates. However, if you own the Galaxy Express 3 Prime, then you should’ve received an update to Android Nougat.

  1. So i am about to install TWRP into my galaxy express 3 to delete the password file that lock my phone ,which doing this mean i will get an custom system and lose warranty that let me update my phone ;;;i am just checking if any major update will come out for this model before i do something that has no return (and of course i will regret this descision so much)
So my question do i have to smash my head on the wall to remember the password, or take in action and stop wasting my time?
    KKK
IS THERE ANY REASON WHY I SHOULDN’T GET A CUSTOM ROM FOR THIS PHONE????
