AT&T Galaxy Note 5 receives update to build N920AUCU1AOH5

Several AT&T Galaxy Note 5 users are reporting that a new update hit their devices today, upgrading the build no. of the device to OH5 (last 3 letters). The changelog isn’t available in full yet from AT&T for the OH5 update, but it seems the Stagefright fix is at least one of the features of the latest AT&T Galaxy Note 5 update.

The full build no. of the update is N920AUCU1AOH5, and it’s sized pretty small too. What else is there apart from the Stagefright fix isn’t known to us yet, but we will be sure to bring you a full changelog once AT&T or Samsung say something about it.

The update details on the phone just do a quiet mention of ‘enhanced performance and other device improvements’, as can be seen from the image at the top. Yes, that’s all.

One or two users have reported that their Note 5 is feeling a lot smoother after the update, but you can’t take that for granted — even a simple reboot could make you feel like that for a while. But anyway, we can still hope for performance improvements from the update, however minor that may be.

To get the update, just go to Settings > About device. Then tap on the ‘check for update’ button in System updates. You should be able to receive it soon, but it could take a few days under gradual rollout.

If OTA fails installation, then it could be due to you having installed TWRP recovery or root access. Or disabling apps. If you did that, unroot your device from SuperSU app, enable disabled apps and make sure you have stock recovery installed, which is required for the OTA installation.

If you have already received the update, then do share your experience with the update with us below in comments section. We’d love to hear how the N920AUCU1AOH5 update is treating your AT&T Galaxy Note 5.
