AT&T rolling new software update for LG V30, Galaxy S9, S9+, S8 Active; Verizon LG G6 gets one too

Leading US telecom providers AT&T, and Verizon Wireless, have recently been releasing updates on their carrier-locked phones thick and fast. This time around, AT&T has come up with software updates for LG V30, Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+, and Galaxy S8 Active. Meanwhile, Verizon has also released a new software update for LG G6.

Both the carriers have been actively sending out security patch updates to their customers and this time is no different. The update for Samsung Galaxy S9 carries build number R16NW.G960USQS3ARI6 weighing 74.3 MB while that of Galaxy S9+ carries build number R16NW.G965USQS3ARI6 weighing 91.5MB. These updates bring the security patch level up to November 1, 2018.

The update for Galaxy S8 Active carries build number R16NW.G892AUCU3BRJ2 weighing a considerable 290MB. Notably, this update brings the security patch level up to October 1, 2018. Meanwhile, the LG V30 update carries build number OPR1.170623.026, software version H93120h and weighs 298MB. The security patch level is November 1, 2018.

Verizon’s update for LG G6 carries software version VS98820e and brings the phone’s security patch level up to November 1, 2018. If you own any of these phones from the specified carriers, you must’ve received a notification informing you about the update. Simply click on the update to download the update.

But before you download these updates, make sure that you either have a stable Wi-Fi connection or a strong network connection with your service provider. Also, only commence with the download if your phone is fully or near-fully charged to prevent any disturbance.
