Asus ROG phone coming to India on Nov 29

Asus ROG Phone update

Back in July this year during the launch of the Asus ZenFone 5Z in India, the Taiwanese manufacturer had confirmed that its gaming phone Asus ROG gaming phone will launch in the country in the third quarter of the year, but that didn’t materialize. Nevertheless, it was certain that the phone might see the daylight in the fourth quarter at least, though there was no official confirmation about the exact launch date.

Now we have an answer for that as Asus has mailed a press invite, revealing that the smartphone is going to make its debut in India on November 29. The invite features the name of the phone with its usual GameChanger hashtag and the date. This comes after the device was recently released in the US.

The ROG phone brags about a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and with a response time of 1ms. The phone also supports HDR by using a dedicated hardware. Under the hood, it integrates Snapdragon 845 SoC insanely clocked at 2.96GHz and ably complemented by an Adreno 630 GPU – this all mated to 8GB RAM and 128GB/512GB internal storage.

Since the phone is acclaimed for supporting heavy-duty gaming, it comes with a GameCool feature to cool down the device during a heavy gaming session. Talking about the GameCool feature, it is a vapor-based cooling technology that helps to improve thermals by using a copper heat spreader and a 3D vapor chamber needed to transfer the heat away from the crucial processor. Moreover, the phone also has an AeroActive Cooler to dissipate the heat from the back panel.

Besides the date of launch, nothing else is known as to how much the device will cost in India or whether it will come with any changes in features and hardware configurations.
