Armani to launch its first Android Wear Smartwatch in September

After launching Hybrid smartwatch last year, the high-end fashion brand, Armani, is all set to launch its first Android Wear 2.0 device, the Emporio Armani Connected.

The Emporio Armani Connected touchscreen smartwatch, which will be compatible with Android phones and iPhone will go on sale on September 14 via its own online store and authorized retail showrooms.

Although much isn’t known about the specifications of the smartwatch, it will run on Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, besides having circular AMOLED display.

In addition to offering customizable watch faces, Armani will also offer 8 different interchangeable watch straps including metal, leather, and fabric options.

The new touchscreen wearable, which was unveiled at Milan Fashion Week recently, will be manufactured by Fossil. Other than having the brand name of Armani, the smartwatch is similar to any other Android Wear 2.0 device, offering typical Android Wear 2.0 features like Google Assistant, activity tracking and providing alerts about your smartphone notifications.
