FYI: Android Nougat doesn’t have Immersive Mode

If you’ve loved the Immersive mode feature on Android. You’re going to miss it on Android 7.0 Nougat as there’s no way to add Immersive mode to quick settings tile or by any other means activate immersive more on Nougat.

Although you can hope for immersive mode to return with Android 7.1 update (that’s scheduled to release very soon), but we wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t.

For now, there are no tricks or workaround to get immersive mode back on Android 7.0 Nougat. And we don’t even have Xposed working on Nougat yet. But we’re pretty confident once Xposed is compatible with Nougat, someone somewhere will be coming with an Xposed module to enable immersive mode on Nougat.

Until then, let’s just enjoy the multi window feature on Nougat and wait for Xposed to be compatible with Android 7.0 Nougat.

Happy Androiding!

  1. The q is why? Amazon seem very sloppy. Audible doesn’t even show chapter titles which makes navigating history or science books impossible.

  3. It most certainly does have immersive mode. What is sorely lacking is a way of the end-user disabling it.
