Android Apps Will Soon Run on ASUS Desktops and Laptops

ASUS and BlueStacks have announced a partnership for bringing the ability to run Android apps on all Windows PCs from Asus. Thanks to the “App Player for PC” software by BlueStacks, you will be able to run Android apps across all categories including games, social, news, shopping, music, business and education on your Asus PC.

Though App Player for PC will be available for every Windows user out there as a paid serve, users of the asus@vibe Online Entertainment Store — which provides music, games, books, magazines, radio and videos — found on Asus PCs will be able to use the Android apps “for free for six months, with the option to upgrade to unlimited apps and sync apps from phone to PC”.

Thanks to BlueStacks, apps made for Android will be able to run on Windows without the need for the app developers to do anything. And with the partnership with ASUS, users of their PCs will be able to enjoy six free months of Android apps. We’ll be bringing you more information on this interesting partnership as more details become available, so stay tuned.

  1. Too many steps and registrations needed for a slow product in beta right now (check the support page forums first before downloading). My Android x86 on a eeepc running ICS works like a charm running all my galaxy apps.
